Spending time in nature is proven to brighten our moods. Brookie creates illustrations based on New Mexico’s incredible environment to help encourage the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts.
Focusing first on fly fishing art, these illustrations are especially fun for kids and helpful in identifying the species of trout you landed!
Stories of Fishing
Stories are a wonderful way to encourage children to get outside. Brookie Designs writes stories about fish and fishing that every kid will find enjoyable. The picture books even have helpful fishing tips for kids after the story!
Our books are all written and illustrated by Tania O’Brien McCormack and published by Brookie Designs. Our fishing children’s books are illustrated to show the vibrant colors of nature. The characters are relatable and full of personality!
Current Projects
We are constantly doodling outdoor inspiration for kids. We are focused currently on fly fishing art for children with illustrations of trout and fly patterns. These are available in stickers, and now we have a Baby’s First Trout Book, and a Fly Fishing Memory Game as well.
Inspired by our FOMF (Fear of Missing Fish) sticker, we wrote and illustrated a children’s fishing book. This fly fishing picture book teaches perseverance, conservation, and the art of sharing through our avid fisher kid Cora. Lastly, we are working on another children’s book inspired by the big brown trout Walter!
